Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

 
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. As a key player in our rotational plastics manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for optimizing processes, improving production efficiency, and implementation of ISO 9001 quality system standards and methods. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing processes including methods and work cell designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot production systems and equipment.
  • Design and develop processes and recommend equipment to enhance production safety and proper ergonomics.
  • Analyze production data and perform root-cause analysis to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead projects focused on reducing waste, minimizing downtime, and improving overall operational performance.
  • Assist in the design and specification of tooling and equipment for new product lines.
  • Investigate, justify and recommend acquisition of new equipment for cost savings, scrap reduction, and safety enhancement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired, preferably in a plastics manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to use computer engineering design and productivity software such as AutoCAD, CREO, and/or SolidWorks.
  • Must be able to apply principals of scientific analysis, math and physics to solve engineering problems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Able to work in both an office environment as well as a non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment.
